TT hockey team at 2025 Pan American Challenge

Trinidad and Tobago’s men’s hockey team has qualified for the 2025 Pan American Challenge after winning the silver medal at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games.

The tournament will be held in Santiago, Chile, from January 22 to February 1, 2025, and will serve as a qualifying event for the 2026 Men’s Hockey World Cup.

In addition to Trinidad and Tobago, the other teams that have qualified for the 2025 Pan American Challenge are:

  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • Canada
  • Chile
  • Colombia
  • Cuba
  • Dominican Republic
  • Ecuador
  • Guatemala
  • Guyana
  • Haiti
  • Jamaica
  • Mexico
  • Panama
  • Paraguay
  • Peru
  • Puerto Rico
  • Suriname
  • United States
  • Uruguay
  • Venezuela

The top three teams from the 2025 Pan American Challenge will qualify for the 2026 Men’s Hockey World Cup.

Trinidad and Tobago will be hoping to make history and qualify for the World Cup for the first time. The team’s best result at a Pan American Challenge was a fourth-place finish in 2013.

The 2025 Pan American Challenge will be a tough tournament, but Trinidad and Tobago has a good chance of qualifying for the World Cup. The team has a strong mix of experienced and young players, and they have been playing well in recent months.

If Trinidad and Tobago can continue to play at a high level, they have a good chance of making history and qualifying for the World Cup for the first time.
