The Graceland estate, the iconic mansion of the late King of Rock and Roll, is facing a foreclosure auction, but Elvis Presley's granddaughter, Riley Keough, is fighting to stop it.
Riley Keough's Fight
On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Riley Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, filed a lawsuit to prevent the public auction of Graceland. Keough is the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis' only child, who died in January 2023.
In her lawsuit, Keough argues that she is the rightful owner of Graceland and that the auction is illegal. She claims that her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley, transferred ownership of the estate to her before her death.
The foreclosure auction is scheduled to take place on June 15, 2024. It is unclear whether Keough's lawsuit will be successful in stopping the auction.
